Monkey Shine

Our very special boy, Monkey went to sleep and never woke up this
morning. Sleeping close to Lorelei's side where he would always sleep.
He had been a sick boy ever since his birth.
His kidneys were to small which caused them to fail .
We loved this guy more than anything. He made us smile and laugh daily.
A part of us is gone .
This is just so hard.
We love you Monkey and miss you so much.
Bye sweet Monkey you will be missed by all who loved you.

that no one else shall know,
for who but I can see you lie
each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
before we go to bed
and feel the living warmth of you
and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths
and see ahead of me,
your small form racing with the wind
so young again, and free.

in every brook I pass
and when I call, no one but I
can see the bending grass.
